Collection: The Face in the Seaweed

This collection of paintings is  inspired by the Northern coastline of Tasmania, and my life and time spent as a child and with my own children exploring, riding, swimming, walking the same familiar beaches on this picturesque island. The paintings have become a way of immortalizing some of life, past and present, through artifacts washed up with the tides. Most importantly these paintings are my way of memorizing the life and habitat of the abundant seabirds, as this hangs precariously in the hands of time and imminent threat of disease.   This body of work offers a proactive view for preservation and conservation, whilst living and enjoying the privilege of the beach.
