The Cormorant’s Muse

This painting was inspired by a moment of Nostalgia, when I came across a young boy fishing on the beach with his grandfather. The boy caught a sand Flathead, and his grandfather released it back into the sea. Taking Sand flathead fish is prohibited in a bid to try and replenish numbers. When I was a child my siblings and I would fish for flathead on this beach with our grandfather. The Cormorants are always close by.
